Put a cleaning schedule maker on your site
Writing for students, renters or anybody new to running a home? Your readers can make a cleaning schedule without leaving your page: 9questions about the place, then what needs doing, how often and why. It is free to put on a page — no sign-up, no key and no script to install, just one snippet to paste.
What your readers see
This is the real thing, at the size the snippet makes it. Try it.
The snippet
- Copy this.
- Paste it where the schedule maker should go, into the page's HTML or your editor's HTML or embed block.
- Publish. That is all there is.
It fills the width of your column up to 640 pixels and is 720 pixels tall; a longer schedule scrolls inside it, so it works on a phone as well as a desktop. Change the height in the snippet if your page wants it shorter.
Your readers' answers
The answers describe somebody's home, so they stay in the reader's browser. The schedule is worked out there, and nothing they pick is sent to choremen — or to you — while they use it on your page. choremen counts visits to the schedule maker, as it does to every page, and never the answers.
Under the schedule is a button: “Keep this as my recurring list — free”. Only if a reader presses it does choremen open, in a new tab of its own, with their answers. Signing up or signing in happens there and never inside your page, and they tick which chores go on the list before anything is saved. A small “Made with ChoreMen” link sits at the bottom.
Rather link to it?
If your site does not take iframes, or you would rather send readers to it, an ordinary link does the same job:
A line to introduce it
If you want words to go above it, these say what it does and nothing it does not. Change them as you like.
